This includes support for training in health, medicine, surgery and public health in institutions in the Pacific or the Philippines.
It also includes a stipend and living allowance. Individuals or teams must be nominated by their Ministry of Health.
Study programmes are intended to build long-term national capacity and may include clinical attachments, academic coursework, supervised practicum or leadership development. Trainees are expected to return to service and contribute to strengthening their home country health system.
